What you need to know about the Sabine's Gull
The Sabine's gull is a small oceanic bird with a beautiful wing pattern. Gulls of all ages will have a distinctive black outer wing, white inner wing, and dark back. Breeding adults have a dark gray head and black bill with yellow tip. Non-breeding adults have a similar recognizable bill, but with a mostly white face. Young birds are browner above than adults, with a crisp scaly pattern on the back.

The Sabine gull breeds on Arctic tundra. They are often seen in flocks during migration and winter, generally far offshore.
